Everything you need to know about training, booking, and visiting STL Turf Box.
STL Turf Box is a single-use, private facility. When you book a session, the entire space is yours for that time. No other teams, trainers, or athletes will be inside during your booking — only STL Turf Box staff if needed. This allows your group to train, run plays, and coach freely without any distractions.
We have 13 designated parking spots in our parking lot. If those are full, you're welcome to park along the street — just be mindful of nearby residents and avoid blocking driveways.
If a staff member is present, the door will be open for you. If not, you'll receive a unique door code via email or text once your booking is confirmed. That code is only active during your reserved time window, giving your team secure, private access to the facility.
We leave that to each coach or trainer's discretion. Our training areas are designed to be distraction-free, so we don't offer dedicated sideline spectator space on the turf. However, there's a comfortable waiting area at the entrance where parents or guardians can relax during the session.
Since we're an indoor facility, we plan to stay open as long as STL Turf Box management deems it safe for travel. If we do close due to severe weather, we'll contact all affected bookings and post updates on our social media channels.
Yes! We love hosting private events — from team celebrations and birthday parties to small-group training and fitness classes. Email us at STLturfbox@gmail.com with your event details and we'll help coordinate setup and scheduling. Visit our Private Events page to see the full list of event types we support.
We get it — athletes need fuel. We have vending machines on-site for snacks and drinks, and you're welcome to bring your own water onto the turf. Please keep all food and non-water beverages off the turf and enjoy them in the waiting area or outside. This keeps the turf clean and in top condition for everyone.
Tennis shoes or turf shoes are best. Please, no rubber or metal cleats. Our turf does not have rubber pellets, which keeps your shoes clean — but it does make the surface slippery if you're wearing cleats, which can lead to injury.
